| Antidote and medicinal treatment |

| The poisoning occurs mostly after oral ingestion. The symptoms are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain. They may be symptom-free period followed by gastrointestinal disturbance, evidence of liver damage and haemorrhages in the skin, cardiovascular collapse and neurological symptoms with coma may lead to death. |

| First aid measures |
| 01. Induce vomitting by giving victim a table spoon of salt in a glass of warm water. Repeat treatment until vomit fluid is clear. |
| 02. If clothing has been contaminated, remove the clothing and wash the subject's skin thoroughly with soap and water. |

| Drug therapy |
| 01. Gastric lavage should be done by using 1 : 5000 solution of pottassium permanganate. |
| 02. Cupric sulphate (0.2 % solution) may act as an emetic and produce insoluble cupric phosphide. This shall be removed by lavage. |
| 03. The general supportive measures include administration of Vitamin K to control haemorrhagic manifestation. |
| 04. Sedate the patient by morphine if needed. |
